Sh*t my Boyfriend Says: Donald Duck

Due to the fact that I'm not currently teaching, I've decided to temporarily stop the Sh*t my Students say portion of my blog... but don't panic.  I have an alternative in mind.

Since I'm dating a guy that is not a native English speaker, he's Malaysian and Bahasa Malaysia is his native tongue (he also speaks a bit of Chinese and Thai), he sometimes gets his words confused a bit, or he doesn't know how to properly convey his thoughts.  So, I'm going to temporarily switch over (or start a new segment all together) entitled 'Sh*t my Boyfriend Says' of little quips and statements that crack me up.  Don't worry it'll be funny.

So without further ado, here is the first addition to Sh*t my Boyfriend Says...

BF:  Your butt is nice and round... *pauses*... like Donald Duck?
me:  (slightly offended)What? Donald Duck?
BF:  Sorry, Donald's wife, his girlfriend... except you have pants on.

And I quote...

“I feel that we are often taken out of our comfort zones, pushed and shoved out of our nests, because if not, we would never know what we could do with our wings, we would never see the horizon and the sun setting on it, we would never know that there's something far better beyond where we are at the moment. It can hurt, but then later you say "thank you." I have been pushed and shoved and have fallen out and away, so very, very, many, many times! And others around me have not! But then, the others haven't seen what I have seen or felt what I have felt or been who I have been, they can't become what I have become. I am me.”

And I quote...

“Here's to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They're not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can't do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
